  3. This is a description of Hard Disk Controller + version 4.0

  6. First, let me start by telling you that you should download
  7. file #11397, HDCONTROL+.SIT. It is the latest release of the
  8. Hard Disk Controller + (ver3.0). The layout of this finder-
  9. replacement is similar to that of Powerstation's, in that you
  10. can add buttons to pages that, when clicked, boot applications,
  11. documents, stacks, and desk accessories. However, this finder-
  12. replacement goes far beyond Powerstation and most other finder-
  13. replacement stacks.
  14. You have an unlimited number of pages with which you can place
  15. as many buttons as you wish. You create buttons with a simple
  16. pull-down menu command, and the actual icons of the applications,
  17. documents, and stacks are used. You can position and resize the
  18. buttons a9r:K@e{U0KV+z\F+6n,N6Y7 A =]IU1talog-Ad5R$outine lets you install an entire volume on as many pages as
  19. you wish (version 4.0 is the only version that has this feature,
  20. and you get it by sending in the $10 HonorWare fee). There are
  21. function buttons that let you delete, move, and resize buttons,
  22. as well as open applications, documents, or stacks that you have
  23. not installed. Also, in version 4.0, there is a handy Invisible
  24. Button creator that lets you use buttons invisibly. Why would you
  25. want to do this? Because, built into the stack, is a great search
  26. routine that lets you type in the name of the application/document/
  27. stack/DA that you want to boot, and it will find it and boot it.
  28. No more searching through folders or scanning through pages for the
  29. button that you want to click. Just push RETURN, and type either the
  30. whole name or the partial name into the dialog box, and the stack will
  31. automatically search and then boot the file that you want. This 
  32. feature is available in version 3.0, which is online. Invisible files
  33. can be accessed only through this search routine, providing a degree
  34. of privacy.
  35. Also built in is a handy phone book. The stack self-installs itself
  36. if you wish. It will automatically boot up into the stack if you
  37. select "Install Script into Home Card". There are many keyboard 
  38. shortcuts, too many to say here. Go download the stack, and if you
  39. like it, send in your $10 HonorWare fee.
